Elim Church endorses several support groups to provide a safe and caring environment on the path to healing and wholeness.

 

Men of Courage

We are a group of men who courageously together experience freedom from addictive obsessive behaviour. Through the use of biblical principles and 12-step wisdom, this guide to recovery* maps out a journey of wholeness and proper dependence on God!

*Our resource workbook is “THE TWELVE STEPS: A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY”

This Men’s Support Group meets at 7:00PM on Tuesdays.

Women of Hope

Experience freedom from addictive, dysfunctional patterns in your life.

Find healing from Hurts, Pain, and Habits using a 12-step faith based approach. Join a loving, safe enviroment, build accountability and authentic relationships.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered ministry based on the 8 principles from the Beatitudes. This recovery program gives people the resources and relationships to help find a new way of living. This ministry is for anyone struggling with past or current hurts, habits or hang ups- whether they are affecting their own life or the lives of those around them. 

Issues include: Alcoholism, Divorce, Sexual Abuse, Co-dependancy, Domestic Violence, Drug Addiction, Sexual Addiction, Food Addiction, Gambling Addiction, Eating Disorders, Depression, Anger, Anxiety, and more.

DivorceCare

DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. At this 13-week, video-based support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making.

People at DivorceCare understand how you’re feeling and what you’re struggling with—because they’re facing similar challenges. Everyone’s story is different, and you’ll be accepted right where you are, in a safe place.

It hurts to lose someone. Find help at GriefShare.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. Visit or join us at anytime. And attend as many meetings as you like.

GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Alcoholics Anonymous*

Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem.

THE TWELVE STEPS OF ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS A.A.’s Twelve Steps are a group of principles, spiritual in their nature, which, if practiced as a way of life, can expel the obsession to drink and enable the sufferer to become happily and usefully whole.

 *AA is not an Elim-sponsored recovery group; however we do affirm this organization. They meet at Elim Church on Wednesday evenings as a traditional AA group, closed meeting.
