FATHER’S HEART Part 1: THE SICK

Pastor Lukas begins this new series titled “The Father’s Heart” talking about walking the path with Jesus.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How would you describe your spiritual sickness? Do you believe Jesus can make you well?

  2. Have you cared more about sacrifice and religious practice than a relationship with God himself? What would it look like to open your heart to the Father’s heart?

FATHER’S HEART Part 2: THE SUFFERING

Reflection Questions:

  1. Would you lean towards showing your faith in what you do or sharing your faith in words? Why?

  2. Are there people you avoid loving? How do you try to justify yourself in that?

  3. How can you more fully share the Father’s heart of compassion? More margin for inconvenience? Sacrifice? Generous hospitality?

FATHER’S HEART Part 3: THE SAINT

Reflection Questions:

  1. Have you ever asked God for something that, in hindsight, wasn’t the best for you?

  2. Is your heart keeping you away from the Father’s party? Or separating you from “sinners” he’s invited in?

  3. What may you need to lay down in order to receive the Father’s embrace?

FATHER’S HEART Part 4: THE Skeptic

Reflection Questions:

  1. Have you ever found yourself in a skeptical or a cynical place?

  2. When in your life has it been important to know that God sees you?

  3. Do you believe you will see “greater things than this”? What do you dream of God doing?
